In my prior life, I studied biochemistry at Cambridge, worked in venture capital and scaled seed stage startups. Now I am learning and building with AI.

Dumpling Get Well is a project I started because my cat Dumpling got ill. She collapsed one evening suddenly and started having what looked like a seizure episode. I went looking for clear, reliable answers but found mostly scattered, outdated information instead. Chatbots couldn't agree with each other. Vets and specialists gave different diagnosis. I started using AI to run deep research myself, and at that moment I wished every pet parent could benefit from the clarity, depth and comprehensiveness deep research can bring when they need such information the most.

Every article on this site is grounded in veterinary literature: research corpus sourced from peer-reviewed journal papers, clinical references, professional and academic institutions..., then goes through a strict protocol of planning, cross-checking, writing, reviewing, editing cycles.

But of course, Dumpling Get Well is built with AI and AI can generate unintentional mistakes. It cannot replace the examination and experienced view of a vet visit either. My hope is the information presented here can help you narrow down the search of possibilities, understand the condition better, have more useful information with you at once - so you can spend less time piecing together/decoding the puzzle, more focusing on caring your furkid back to health.
